Beach about to get in a workout with Charles Glass you want to fatigue your chest a
little first then you start pausing it that way you don’t have to go so heavy
yeah push good arch that back lift that chest up and push through that’s it your good come on squeeze the chest if you ever just perform one exercise it
would probably decline for chest why because it works the whole chest not not
just the lower part of the pec but it works the whole thing because the minute
you start contracting through it moves from the lower and it goes all the way
up it don’t necessarily hit the top of the chest but it gets close enough to
parts down stop at the bottom half way push all the way through here we go
ready 1 2 3 give me 5 reps first 5 reps go all the way 1 come on
2 3 4 5 stop at the bottom hold it halfway up good do it again stop no stop
at the bottom you want to be here now halfway now contract there you go come
on up halfway all the way to push push push
hold you’re not holding the top at the top squeeze there you go again the thing about it is most of the time when you’re repping you’re just pushing through you never stop so just the fibers you start
with you keep so be able to stop at the bottom push halfway and stop again
now some of the dead still so now you can’t push it you got to recruit every
muscle fiber you can fiber you can so you can push it harder
five three four five now stop hold it there
halfway up stop now squeeze at the top there you go good up all the way through
that’s it good do it again up now contract it up contract at the top
contract it contract it contract it contract it one more come on this is just
regular movement right but you want to contract the pec so you got to push it
in and take it off the shoulder you’re gonna drop it down push it through don’t
don’t do this and use your shoulders to push because it hollows your chest out keep that chest up contract into the muscle okay mm-hmm close it in

to work chest not delt so we’re trying to take as much as we can we keep the
elbow slightly forward pushing across the pec so that way the delt doesn’t
activate until you get to the very top I’ve been benching wrong forever you know so
I have real bad shoulder so he’s kind of corrected my bench dumbbell presses so I
just mainly focusing on technique obviously still keeping the weight heavy
but not really compromising the form stretch it out here don’t bend you want
to press you want to fly move to through the stretch then contract it back in
notice my arms come in complete stretch up don’t leave like this weak
now you will take it take it out stretch stretch it out stretch it out when you
come up you want to come up and turn then contracted in till you turn it go out
come up contract in there you go you got it come on right there squeeze you’re not squeezing make a
movement come on squeeze at the top squeeze there you go squeeze again stretch up
in there reach reach for it come on reach reach reach
oh there you go good this is better because it allows you to really stretch
the chest up now when you reach you’re actually contracting all the way across
you’re taking it from the insertion all the way across to the other insertion so it’s
going all the way across rather than doing a half way you have energy then it dies out because
you’re working just that whole area that’s why I have you slide forward so it
starts a little lower it really just working right across the
center part of the pec now it works up into the pec like almost like a decline that’s it come on now while you sitting
lift the chest up like that don’t stick your stomach out lift the chest up only

  9. I never got much muscle growth from decline presses, I have gotten more growth and strength from dips and incline presses.

  12. Now this is a trainer folks. Note his experience gives the athlete that little bit more in technique that makes the difference. He also motivates and pushes them during the workout. Excellent job Mr. Glass. Also like the way he explains each movement, and why he gives explanations of thw "why" to also motivate the athlete.

  15. There are many pecks machine similar to this one at many gyms that don't do shit for the peck.

    This machine due to it having an incline set up works wonders.

    And there is no need to pack it with so much weight.

  16. Donโ€™t know if this guy understand excercise science but at a certain intensity all fibres are already recruited. You donโ€™t need to do pause reps or whatever heโ€™s telling him to do

  22. What Charles said about the decline is so profound. Thats why I LOVE using the decline bench press because I can go heavy. But I do some incline work as well, mainly with the dumbbells. I think this is a great workout!! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช
