Muscle-Building Workout and Diet

Hi everyone welcome back to the
Runtastic Fitness Channel. As you can see we’re cookin in the kitchen today and I
have a really really good pecan chocolate protein overnight
oatmeal recipe for you. This is perfect for all of you out there that maybe don’t
have time in the morning to make a good breakfast. You just need something to
grab and go, or maybe you want to snooze a little bit longer in the morning and
you want something that you can just grab and head out the door with. So, I
have a recipe for you just for those moments. What you’re going to need is a
half a cup of milk. I have chosen an unsweetened almond milk variety. You can use coconut milk you can use rice milk you can even use low-fat regular milk if
you want to. But I really like almond milk. It’s my favorite that’s why I have chosen to use
that. You’ll also need a jar because this is where your oats will sleep overnight in the fridge this is where
they’re going to be. You need half a cup of oats. So I have half of a cup here.
You can use the quick cooking ones or you can use the whole oats here like I have.
Whatever you have at home whichever you prefer and then I also have a half of a
scoop of chocolate protein powder. You can use a whey protein you can use a
plant based protein which ever one you like the taste of because that’s
the most important. We also have one banana but you don’t really use the
whole thing. We will just use it as a garnish on top. So at least one banana if
you have a half of the banana laying around at home you want to use its
perfect for that. I also have some unsweetened coconut shavings and some pecans as well. They’re not candied pecans no added sugar just plain pecans, ok? Now, we are going to get started with this recipe. First you can take your jar and we’re gonna fill it up about
half way, which will be about half of a cup, with the almond milk. So pour it in
here till it goes about half way. So about half of the cup of almond.
I’m not super into measuring, I just kind add everything and kind of have a feeling for it. But, if you’re stickler for measurements, it’s half of a cup. Then we’ll put our oats right into the
milk here. And for those of you that watched my last video where I made oatmeal with Greek yogurt and things like that. If you are lactose intolerant or vegan, this
is the perfect recipe for you especially if you’re using a plant-based protein as
well as some coconut milk or almond milk or rice milk or some sort of non-dairy milk as
well. So for all of you out there this is also gluten-free if you choose
gluten-free oats. Oats are gluten-free naturally but sometimes they can get gluten in them from cross-contamination just a little FYI. So
that’s also gluten-free recipe for those of you out there. Now we will add the
chocolate protein powder to the mix put it right in here. This one is a plant based protein because I based protein powders But you can use whichever one you have
at home that you like. Then the fun part. You put the lid on nice and tight and you shake it…shake it…shake it! Then you can sleep in in the morning and when you wake up and your breakfast is already ready. Once it’s shaken up it’s ready to go into the fridge. You put in and it will be done by the morning. You
can put it in for like three or four hours to if you want to make it in the
morning and eat for lunch for example. But overnight is perfect. So I happened
to have one that was hanging out in the kitchen overnight and here it is. So this
is the overnight oats in a jar. You can eat it directly out of the jar if
you want to with a spoon, but we’re gonna put it in a bowl here just so that you
can kind of get a look at what it looks like. So I’m going to pour it into the bowl here. It’s nice and oatmealy. It’s all mixed together with the protein powder with the oatmeal with the almond milk
and then I’m going to top it with the rest of the ingredients. So you can use
berries if you want to, you can use apples you can use whatever really that you like and
what you have you don’t need to go to the store and buy something that you
don’t have just for this particular recipe. Blueberries are really good on
this recipe, blackberries, maybe if you
like mango but I have a banana here. It’s just about half of a banana and you can go ahead, if you
if you’re eating it out of the jar, you could just cut up the bananas and
put it into the jar and mix it up you don’t have to put it in a bowl if you
don’t want to. I’m going to sprinkle a little bit of the unsweetened coconut flakes on it and
then for some good healthy fat we’re adding the pecans on it. I like pecans on this recipe but you can use almonds, you can use walnuts if you want to. Whatever you like. And that’s pretty much it. There you have it this is pecan chocolate protein overnight
oats recipe so you can make it a night you can even make multiple servings out
you can make it for the whole family or you can make it so that you have it for a
few mornings it’s not gonna go bad if you leave it in the fridge for a couple
of days. iIt’s not going to overcook because it’s pretty much just hanging out in the
fridge. But yeah so let me know if you like it or if you try it. I would love to hear
feedback and I would love to also hear from you
what type of recipes you want to see next because I love to cook. I love being
in the kitchen almost as much as I love working out so let me know what you want to see and make sure you subscribe to the Runtastic Fitness Channel. I’ll see you
next time. Bye.

  1. that's realy delicious i realy need something like that in the morning to just grab and go, great recipe lunden and would like to see oatmeal with peanuts butter and how that mixed up with protien powder if i have ingredient.

  2. I am going to make this right now! Love the vegan options. Would love to see more versatile recipes like this that can fit call diets and lifestyles.

  3. Why everybody uses PROTEIN ! Hello WE HAVE FOOD to give our body the protein needs !

  4. Another great Oatmeal recipe found here on YouTube. I am not sure if you stated what time is best to make it prior to Breakfast in the morning. What would be ideal?

  5. Literally eating this for the first time right now and I will for sure be working this into my breakfast rotation. I'm not huge on sweets and usually eat eggs for breakfast, but every once in a while I crave something different; so this is a nice easy recipe to switch things up. I used very few walnuts as I try to keep my fats down. Thank you!

  6. Love overnight oats or protein oats with egg whites and protein powder. Basically my go to every single morning!

  7. You are beautiful! You remind me one of the actors, Elina Pähklimägi! 🙂
Anyway, seems like a nice fitness meal. I used to buy muesli, until I found out that it's filled with sugar, raisins and chocolate, which are definitely not healthy and made losing weight a total nightmare.
Oatmeal is great though, I had a pretty okay diet plan a while back. As I was about 96kg, I thought about losing weight, so my plan was something like this..

    Breakfast – Oatmeal with peanuts.
Dinner – About two or three boiled eggs.
    – Went to have a walk with my friend, while playing Ingress (keeps us motivated)
Evening – Oatmeal with peanuts again.

I also drank a lot of water and coffee, coffee without sugar of course. I went from 96kg to 85kg pretty fast and I didn't feel hungry at all, but sometimes it's hard to keep the diet plan. So I went back to eating potatoes, pasta and stuff like that. But I feel like I'm ready for another diet run, hopefully I'll lose few more kilos soon, as I have military service in one month.

  8. I do intermittent fasting and hence want to consume them at 4pm and take them to my office at 9am. Will the recipe survive till 4pm or will it go bad?? Or do I make it in the morning. Pls advise. Note: I don't have a refrigerator at the office

  9. chia seeds and cinnamon are essential ingredients for my overnight oats, made with water and a couple of table spoons of greek yogurt or cheese spread.

  10. What is the nutritional value of this meal? I mean we should not exaggerate with daily protein intake. Btw you're so beautiful. 😃
