How to gain 5 pounds in a week? Not too many
people ask that question, usually people need to lose it. But I know for those of you, who
are really working out hard, maybe have a fitness competition coming up, you’d like
to put that solid weight on, and that’s what we’re going to talk about today. Hi, my name
is Jani Roberts, and I’m a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, and a graduate of the American
Academy of Nutrition. When you’re looking at gaining weight, the most important thing
to remember is, muscle requires protein. The only way that you’re really going to build
that muscle quickly, is to make sure that you get that protein carbohydrate ratio in,
right in that 15 minute window after training. So, for example, lets say you do a heavy leg
workout on Tuesday, you train, from say, 10 to 11:30 in the morning. Right at the end
of that workout, between 11:30 and 11:45, it’s imperative that you take in a protein
carbohydrate ratio immediately, preferably in a liquid form, so that your body can break
it down very quickly, and utilize it. Remember, whenever you’re working out, you’re actually
tearing the muscle down. When you weight train, you’re breaking the muscle down. So right
after that workout, you got to put the protein back, so that the muscle can rehabilitate
as quickly as possible. Otherwise, you will over train, and the muscles will just get
smaller. We want the weight gain to come on, in muscle, right? Not fat, I’m sure of that.
So, make sure that you’re making wise choices with the food, quality carbohydrates, nothing
processed, whole grains; nuts, seeds, those types of things. With the protein, if you
can do a balance, lets say, between animal and plant, so maybe some whey and some soy,
that balance is going to be even better. This will keep your body more alkaline, versus
acidic, you’re going to have more energy, and you’re just going to feel better all the

  1. i used to stuff myself with doughnuts and junk to gain weight and only ended up making myself sick. then i learned about protein and started making protein shakes twice a day (as well as eating 4 other meals) using whey protein powder,full fat milk, some peanut butter and banana. i took flaxseed oil each day too and i gained 6pounds in a few weeks.

  2. i see… i used to be able to gain 5 pound in a week… but i wasn't able to last for more than 2 weeks…. it does work though… everytime i finished with working out, i eat/drik 3 raw eggs.. and it's DiSGUSTING… but I managed to gain 5 pounds in a week… i guess i'll try it again.. i wish i can a more tastty raw protein… raw eggs are disgusting…

  3. 2buck4dH8rz – I used whey protein powder that you can get from health food shops and mixed it in a blender with milk, banana etc

    don't use that now though as I can't have too much whey as I get too mucousy lol if that's a word. I drink a lot of goat's milk and eat quinoa, which is a seed and is a complete protein and really good for you, also nuts, fish, lots of eggs etc And I do pilates to maintain a nice body definition without burning too many cals.

    you can get that help promote weight gain or help you gain weight.
    Im really skinny but i eat quite a bit.
    ( might not be the rights foods though)
    but my metabolism is quite fast

  5. shit I've been working out for a while and yeah i see some results but not as much as I've wanted, i did not know about the getting protein right after working out

    It's physically impossible to gain 5 pounds of muscle in a week, if that were the case I'd be MASSIVE! And a lot of you seem VERY confused about gaining weight and no offence but you don't really know what you're talking about. Look up twinmuscleworkout, I don't work for them but their facts are straight, BELIEVE ME. Please like so people will learn the truth on gaining weight!!!

  7. i pretty sure im the only girl that can say this, but i HATE being skinny! yup you heard me, HATE IT, people always think im anorexic which im NOT tht is totally unhealthy not only that! its so hard for me to fit into clothes cause everythings too big!

I'm 14 and need to gain about ten pounds in a month for football because you have to be at least 105 pounds and I'm at about 93 to 95 pounds does any one have any advise for gaining muscle and a little fat because I'm only 6 percent body fat and I do eat a lot of pasta and protein but still I'm not gaining weight fast

  12. haha. Funny it is.. My boyfriend was once a skinny
    guy but when he tried the program offered by the site
    in just a few weeks under its program, his muscles
    started to get visible now. Never thought an
    internet program like this would make him grow
    muscular.. :))

  13. This woman does not know what she is talking about. 15min after a workout BS, at least 1 hour so the natural hormones in the body will be maximized for nutrition and muscle gains.

  14. Diet Plan called Fenoboci Diet Plan kept showing up here on different youtube and I thought they were scams. However after my mate follow it, and finally lost plenty of weight by using it without starving herself. I'm persuaded. Don't take my word for it, search for Fenoboci Diet Plan on the google search engine.

  16. The diet plan has given me awesome results. You need to google “sowo hope site” because the results were truly incredible. I also know another person who shed 15 pounds.
