– Eggs are among the most
nutritious foods on the planet. However, they have gotten a bad reputation because the yolks are high in cholesterol. So are they safe to eat? (chiming melody) For many decades, people have been advised to limit their consumption of eggs because the yolks contain cholesterol. It was thought that if
you ate cholesterol, it would raise cholesterol in the blood and contribute to heart disease, but that was wrong. The liver actually produces large amounts of cholesterol each day. When we eat more eggs,
the liver just produces less cholesterol instead,
so it basically evens out. It appears that the response
to whole egg consumption depends on the individual though. In the vast majority of people, it has no effect on total
or LDL “bad” cholesterol. The exception is some who
are genetically susceptible, but even then, it’s debatable if the cholesterol increase actually influences heart disease risk or not. In fact, the 2015 to 2020
Dietary Guidelines for Americans has dropped the limit
on dietary cholesterol. The government’s expert panel has now said that dietary cholesterol is no
longer a nutrient of concern. How much is too much? Eating up to three eggs
per day appears to be safe. Unfortunately, there’s no study showing people eating more than three eggs per day or more than 21 eggs per week. It is possible, although unlikely, that eating more than three eggs per day could cause detrimental effects on health. But more than three per day is really just uncharted territory, so to speak. It’s also important to keep in mind that not all eggs are the same. They healthiest are Omega-3 enriched eggs, or eggs from hens that
are raised on pasture. Now these eggs are much higher in Omega-3s and important fat-soluble vitamins. So if you eat three per day, these small nutritional differences may
start to add up over time. Overall, the science shows that eating eggs is perfectly safe. In fact, you can eat up to three per day. And it seems that the
government recommendations have finally caught up

  3. Previously I eat less eggs or none per day and I got bad cholesterol level (really high). Then I tried to consume 2 eggs per day and now about 4 eggs per day (2 at breakfast and 2 any in lunch or dinner) and came back with the result.. it seems that it may reduce my cholesterol level to normal since I ate more eggs. The level reading shows very good result and I started all this like 3 months time.

    So I will continue to consume eggs and now I beginning to love it. Haha..

MY CHOLESTEROL RATIO ( The best measure of cholesterol) is 2.1 Go look it up if you have no clue about what the ratio should be.

  6. Breakfast 6 boiled, before workout shake (mix: 4 raw, 2 bananas and a cup of milk) and dinner more 6 boiled. Result = strength healthy muscle!

  7. I usually eat 6 eggs a day. So, maybe I eat eggs 25 days out of the month, that is 150 eggs each month, 150 / 12 = 12.5 dozen.

  10. Mr. Universe Dave Johns ate 3 dozen per day and got big and ripped. In burn hospitals, they give burn victims large numbers of eggs daily and typically overall cholesterol goes down, not up.

  11. a lot of people eat way more than 3 per day… i used to eat 3 or 4 at breakfast and 4 throughout the day as snacks. and i was perfectly ok.

  12. Thanks for the vid. But one thing I don't care about is the U.S. "government guidelines". All those a$$ are bought and paid for by American corporations. They want to help farmers sell wheat, they tell us to eat SIX TO ELEVEN servings of wheat per day. They want to help farmers reduce their 1.3 billion pound cheese glut, they tell us we need to eat 2 servings of cheese per day. Liars.

  13. I have heard a lot of back and forth on this over the last year or so, from various different nutrition experts. This is the one topic that I'm thoroughly confused on, whether or not eating lots of cholesterol is good, bad or neutral for our health. There are studies supporting both sides of this argument.

  14. Hahaaa this guy is trying to hedge his bets with 3 eggs! 😁 I eat 8 eggs a day and have been doing so for some time, and am hail and hearty. With regular labs. 🤣 So silly people are… Counting their eggs! Use COMMON SENSE. There is nothing in eggs that isn't just AMAZING for your health.

  15. WHat about people who's in fitness, they usually eat LOTS of protein and 8 egg whites in the morning or something like that. Is it safe to just eat lots of egg white? And another thing I would like to ask is, I hate eating eggs!! Is it OK to not eat them at all??

  16. a lot of "follower bodybuilders" aka stupid people who just read and believe when someone says eat eggs, seem to eat like 20 egg whites a day and nearly nothing else. They dont realize difference between healthy meal and healthy for every meal 😀

  17. I always boil eggs because it is natural and healthy. You don't use oil for scrambled eggs or omelets. 🙂 I hope it will help me getting a sixpack and get fit because i heard eggs are good for you when you want to get more bodymuscles.

  21. i m eating 1-2 eggs a day every day. what happened to me is that i got breakouts of hard pimples on my chin. everything needs balance. i reduced them now hope it gets better.

  23. I eat 16 a day organic free range and my cholesterol is perfect blood pressure is on point I do this to keep my testosterone levels up after 40. I eat eggs like Asians eat rice I eat them with everything. I feel eating them at night and first thing in the morning is the best that's when your testosterone levels are some of the highest especially after training. Supplement some DHEA and dim and your golden

  24. I have been eating around 18 egg whites and 3-5 yolks for about 3 years. Recently got my blood work done (lipid profile, liver function, renal function), and everything was in the normal range.

  25. I eat around 20 to 30 per week be they fried boiled or scrambled. It's awesome I've lost weight gained mass and muscle strength I sleep less all sorts of things eggs are damn good things

  27. I eat 8 eggs every day 7 days per week. (in the form of Omelettes usually with fatty butter and some meat) ….
    I've lost 40lbs, take no more diabetes medication, and feel awesome. (Yes, I eat other things and take a multi)

  29. I eat usually 6 at one time, poor persons diet of eggs and potatoes and most of the time I eat this twice a day. On hashbrowns which is one or two potatoes. My health has been more amazing ever since I became poorer and got to eating many eggs a day. I also do lots of labor work, and workout some here and there. I have a high calorie high protein needed diet, I may not get the calories, but that's alright with me, Cruz I get the proteins I need in eggs

  30. I eat several eggs per day. Once my body check result shows my "good cholesterol" level is slightly higher, which is good. I don't do much exercise but I appear to be stronger than average.

  31. My daily food intake – 3 packs of natto, 500g of tomatoes, a whole can of pickled green olives, 2 packs of nuts, a pack of dried apples and coconut chips, a lemon, venti sized soy milk latte, and. . . 11 hard boiled eggs.
