Hey. My name is Erin and I’m a former U.S. junior
Olympic certified swim coach and person trainer. And fitness is my passion so I cannot wait
to share it with you guys. My favorite ab exercise is called the wood
chopper. It hits your obliques. Also works your shoulders a little bit, which
is an added bonus. Nice core move. So we’re going to start with a light medicine
ball. If that’s too heavy for you, you can use like
a kickball, a playground ball, that’s really light. You really want to get the motion. So you’re going to start by bringing it down
to your side and bringing it up. So keeping the arms straight. And you can see why it’s called the wood chopper. Because I guess if you were chopping wood,
that’s what it would look like. I would not know. So notice how that leg is rotating and then
bringing it up, making sure that the arms stay straight. Same thing on the other side. Pivoting on the feet. And I like to do 20, 10 on each side.
