THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE ANGRY THAT FEEL LIKE YOU GUYS GAVE UP AND LEFT PEOPLE ON THE HOOK FOR MONEY AND STARTED OVER. THAT’S NOT TRUE. THIS CLUB’S BEEN IN OPERATION FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF. Reporter: WELL, SORT OF. THE CLUB OPENED SIX MONTHS AGO AS PART OF A PLAN TO EXPAND. MANAGEMENT TELLS ME THEY DID GIVE REFUNDS TO SOME PEOPLE BUT TWO WEEKS AGO THE AS SETS WERE FROZEN AS PART OF COURT PROCEEDINGS WITH CREDITORS. IT DOESN’T MEAN THEY’RE NOT GOING TO GET THEIR REFUNDS BACK. THE CREDITORRERS AND LANDLORDS HAVE SEIZED UP OUR RESOURCES. Reporter: THE DOWNTOWN GYM WAS SUCCESSFUL BUT MANAGEMENT TELLS ME THE RENT WAS RAISED TO A WHOPPING $80,000 A MONTH. THEY ENDED UP BEHIND AND FORCED TO LEAVE AND TOMORROW MORNING AT 10:00 EVERYTHING IN THIS LOCATION WILL BE AUCTIONED OFF TO PAY DEBT IF THERE’S ANYTHING LEFT OVER, CUSTOMERS LIKE AMY WILL RECEIVE SOME REFUNDS. OF COURSE THEY’RE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CREDITOR LIST. BECAUSE ALL THAT MONEY’S GOING TO GO TO PAY OFF THE DEBT AND THAT’S GOING TO SUCK UP ALL THAT MONEY SO THAT LOOKS LIKE LONG SHOT. IN THE FUTURE WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE NOT TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. A LOT OF THESE PEOPLE LEARNED A LESSON. GO MONTH TO MONTH IF YOU’RE WORRIED ABOUT IT.
