Ready-made drinks or RTDs they call them or
Ready To Drink are drinks that are already put together for you that being protein drinks
that already have proteins, carbs, vitamins, and minerals. Unfortunately, though they have protein, and
they also are enriched with some form of vitamin and mineral, many of them are and can be very
unhealthy. You might want to take a look at some of the
ingredients on some of these RTDs in these ready-made drinks because you’re probably
not going to be able to pronounce some of the names of some of the chemicals that are
in these drinks. And that’s extremely important because these
chemicals are detrimental to your body and overall not just to your health and not just
to your muscle-building ability rather, but to your health as well. So you want to look at the ingredients on
these RTDs or ready-made drinks and make sure that you’re getting a good-quality protein
source. Maybe it’s enriched with some vitamins and
minerals. If possible it may even have some fiber. It’s got a good source of carbohydrates. Some of them are usually low-carb. But many of them have a carbohydrate source
like some offer dexatrim which is a higher glycemic carb. But you also want to be aware of that as well. If the carbohydrate count the sugar count
is too high you may want to examine why that is. So protein RTDs should be mostly protein. They should be low carbohydrate. Read the ingredients. Make sure that’s what you basically see. The protein source. Some vitamins and minerals. And of course obviously water is usually going
to be the base in most of these. If the drink tastes really really thick and
rich and almost filmy in the mouth against the pallette, the texture, you might want
to examine the ingredients in that drink. And like I said if you see a lot of words
that you don’t even know how to pronounce stay away from that drink and look for one
that’s way more all-natural.

  1. creatine is not bad at all, the problem is how you obtain the right amount of protein and other components (look for what is creatine, and what it does there is a lot of reliable info on the web)
