that and we’ll also take a look at some foods that you actually need to worry about in terms of your hormones there is a collective social fear of soy especially for men for a long time I was afraid of soy and avoided it in any considerable quantity based off no facts all of this hype comes from how soy has phytoestrogens which are estrogen like plant compounds they are known to be very weak estrogens and because of their similarity to estrogen they can sit in the estrogen receptors and block your actual mammalian estrogens from reaching the receptors to fit like when you go to your is worth noting that they found a one-day increase in cycle length whether that was a balancing effect or not I don’t know but going back to that study that looked at over 200 women for two years in eating soy that one found no difference in cycle length so that’s worth considering now for the fun stuff that actually changes your hormones most people don’t know that dairy as this study shows actually raises blood levels of estrogen in both sexes and lowers blood levels of testosterone in men here’s a chart showing the statistically significant 25 percent spike in blood levels of ester own after drinking milk and a very powerful and equally statistically significant lowering of testosterone that is what men should be afraid of and yes these are just some of the dozens of naturally occurring mammalian hormones found in cow’s milk but people don’t seem to be afraid to drink cow’s milk for the hormonal effects soy on the other hand had some really scary stuff this might be why vegan men have higher levels of testosterone than omnivores and yes I have to say it higher levels of testosterone are associated with larger penises fact in the end the beneficial effects of eating   2. Unfortunately very selective. I have seen many contradictive studies that he has failed to include making it seem like the matter is settled. In real life scientists are on the fence and it's so ingenuine to make one seem like and idiot for being skeptical since there is scientific proof THAT DOES EXIST and demonstrates the opposite.

I understand some of what you say but when I was in middle school last year they gave the kids soybeans about 2 to 3 times a week but do to me not knowing the effect of soy i ate large amount of it soon after I was diagnosed with gynecomastia and it's only in about 7th and 8th grade when my breast stop growing do to possibly 2 things me not eating as much soy do to the fact I could trade for better food, or it's because I hit puberty now I would like to believe it to be puberty but they were testing men not boys and sense kids is not mature when they eat large amounts of soy it can have that possible effect.

  8. You clearly have a bias about what you said about milk lowering testosterone and raising estrogen. Soy actually does lower testosterone and raise estrogen in extremely excessive amounts, like 54 cups of soy milk a day. Same thing with milk, you have to drink really excessive amounts.

  10. Soy milk effected me in this way, I caught it early on but I still got noticeable side effects. I do 100 push ups every day and my chest has been rock hard for years. But a few months ago I started putting soy milk in my coffee every morning for a few weeks, not changing my workout routine, if anything I increased it around this time because my chest was softer and didn't look as defined as before. I stop drinking soy milk and it goes back to normal. It just effects certain men differently maybe.

  13. I've had manboobs for years from being obese eating a SAD diet. I've been vegan for six weeks and lost 20 pounds. I have about 70-80 pounds to go, and I will gladly drink soy milk and down tofu if it'll help me lose this embarrassing problem.

  14. I had a double gynecomastia procedure about three years ago age 37, at great cost, but by a well known American Dr at a top private hospital. I had this problem since I was 18. I was fully vegan for two years age 25-7 and then stopped, and used it on and off to lose gained Vegetarian weight. I never liked soya milk – but I am sure it is much better and more varied these days. I never bothered with soya or fake meat products. My surgeon told me it was a hormone imbalance probably from an increase in oestrogen. He thought it was from alcohol – which is often the case. I started drinking when I was 16 and this seemed to tally esp as I had nothing appear during puberty, but only after drinking regularly. I am writing this because the soya milk man boob thing is nonsense and I have never heard it before in all my research before the op. It is nonsense, and the thousands of non-vegan men who have this problem are living proof. It is also less prevalent in societies where alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

  17. Idk man I have noticed soy makes my chest seem more puffy and made me put on weight. I'm not saying its the leading cause of man boobs, but it had an affect on me. I ate boca burgers for a week and literally got man boobs.

  25. Thank you so much for this. I have been scared of eating soy for almost a year now and my boyfriend accidentally got me soy yogurt instead, and I didn't want to waste it. I decided to do some investigating and this video made me feel so much better! I just got done with a delicious bowl of plain soy yogurt with frozen blueberries and some lime juice, and I can't wait to incorporate other vegan foods that I have been restricting myself from too long.

  30. What I鈥檓 curious about is the body counterbalance. Normally if you inject or overstimulate testosteron your body most of the time also raises the estrogen to balance it out, making the roid users use an aromatase product to keep the estrogen lower to prevent gyno etc etc. But what if you stimulate estrogen in a male body.. Does it make your testosteron levels also go up? I鈥檓 very curious to say the least.

Conversely, soy binds to beta receptors that are responsible for retarding the cell growth response. In other words, soy has anti-growth effects whereas hops tell tissues to grow.   33. Since ancient times, Soy is the basis of Asian and South East Asian cuisine. Soy sauce is used as ingredient in many culinary dishes, as well as delicacies, and even a refreshing drink. To me Soy is my best choice as plant based protein.

I start to feel freak. I knew something wrong…with soy milk. I don't have man boobs because I'm on diet and I'm losing weight which is so great because of soy milk. I losing about 25kg very quickly

  36. Consumption of dairy, meats, fish, poultry, lamb seems to make people irrational. My kitchen is basically out of commission and we've been eating out a lot but as a vegan, I've managed to keep meats and dairy out of my diet. You know what you see eating out? Loads of fat people and the fattest are often the women.

    All I can say is that people don't care what the truth is, so long as they were raised eating the Standard American Diet.

    But then there are those of us who break free of the mind control. Ah, freedom, what does it smell like? A lot less B.O. The Japanese during WWII thought they were superior due to their milder body odor. The body odor is caused by eating meats and dairy. No problem since going vegan with body odor.

    My husband does not want to research for himself and he's the one who got cancer. Hmm.

  42. But how are higher levels of Testosterone always good? I mean there are healthy limits of everything? This comes accross as e little bro- scienc-y (the higher the T the better you are because oh… more manliness). Higher Testosterone is also associated with higher aggressiveness and violence (hence the bad rep of pushy vegans? Sorry, just kidding ;). Just think of this case of a baboon population in which the males with higher Testosterone died because of a disease (they ate some pathogenic meat or something) and afterward the whole society shiftet to a more sociable and affectionate one… I really should find this study again, because all this "T is SO yay and E so booo" stuff always seems so simplified to me.
