Muscle-Building Workout and Diet

all right good morning everyone well
it’s good morning here and we are going to have breakfast my breakfast meal
today is also going to be my pre-workout meal and today we’re going to train legs this after we eat so this breakfast will be a little
larger than usual for me we want to start off with some eggs here so we’re
gonna get the skillet warmed up here are the eggs I use we typically go to a farm
and get our eggs but we we ran out so I went to the grocery store yesterday pick
these up we’re gonna cook with some coconut oil I like to cook on medium
heat that’s good so that was just the it was just a little bit to coat the
skillet now I’m just want to drop two eggs in here sometimes we whisk them up
and make them scrambled today I just want to drop them in here and as you can
see they’re cooking up fast so we’re gonna let that cook I’m going to go
ahead and throw some sourdough toast in the toaster the other thing I want to do
is throw some coffee in donut shop is what I have today coffee in here put my
special mug in here and I’m gonna put about 8 ounces of water okay and that’s
good to go looks like our eggs are almost done I am going to flip them over
one time that’s good now the toast is done so you
want to use my kerry gold pure Irish butter alright so I’m gonna throw the
eggs on here so I leave the yolks if you can see look how orange they are first of
all those are really good quality eggs from especially from a store they’re a
little tiny bit runny which I like and also for my eggs I like
to put pink Himalayan sea salt on my eggs so I’m going to be adding this as
well I do like to use a little bit of truvia and my coffee so I’ll put a
little truvia in there so that’s going to be the majority of the breakfast I’m
going to make one more thing because again I need some extra calories today
so this is like you’re probably wondering well that’s a pretty small
meal in of itself this is what I normally eat
I’m eating more for maintenance these days if I were trying to like if you if
we did this video 10 years ago that probably would have been six eggs or at
least four eggs I used to eat a lot of oatmeal but I don’t tend eat as much
oatmeal anymore it just tends to bloat me a little bit usually when I have this
breakfast here I feel awesome if I go with the bigger breakfast I tend to feel
kind of lethargic and sometimes I’ll even get sleepy and I’ll want to fall back to
sleep so this for me is really good again if you’re a young lad and you’re
wanting to pile on a lot of muscle you probably want to have some more eggs and
want to bump up the calories some but this is really good for me so we’re
going to add some extra calories today this is um a company club pride foods
they make this rice and grind just cream of rice if you followed me you know that
I’m a big believer and cream of rice particularly pre-workout so I’m going to
use a quarter cup in there a half a cup of water will make it kind of pasty
if you use a full cup of water it’s kind of running
so you just make it to how the you want the texture to be so if you put a whole
cup of water in there it’s gonna be pretty runny a half a cup it’s gonna be
like a paste so I’m gonna do about 3/4 of a cup all right so just pour it in
there i microwave it for 50 seconds all right so now I put in a little
peanut butter I would use almond butter but almond butter annoys me because the
texture it gets like a block and it doesn’t make sure well then I’m going to
stick in some Hershey’s sugar-free syrup does have some sugar alcohol in but a
little bit it’s not gonna kill you okay now I made mine a little bit runnier
in texture but you can make it as thick as you want usually I don’t know why
this is but usually if our to be dieting for a contest I prefer to be it really
thick like a paste I don’t know why but I just like it when it’s like chunks
it’s so thick so I don’t use much water when I’m
dieting but I’m not dieting so I like it runny this is called the
concoction bowl this is a very easy to digest pre-workout meal you can eat a
post-workout very very easy on the stomach so that’s it
so let’s chow down again this is a pretty big meal by my standards I hope
you’ll give this breakfast a shot I think you’ll enjoy it and as always make

  2. Love how he uses the whole egg and not just the whites! Loaded with vitamins minerals and HDL Cholesterol. I also noticed a lot of the stuff John used for breakfast or just had in the kitchen were also the items purchased on a previous video when shopping at Kroger’s. Very cool he practices what he preaches. Oh and I actually tried some of the canned wild sockeye salmon, and it was really good! Great advice all around.

  3. I do not know how many times I have seen a Bodybuilder teach me how to make eggs but I will continue to for the rest of my life.

  4. Very simple breakfast yet full of nutrients in it. Really suits for pre and post workout meal in the morning for those who seeks low/medium calorie..Thumbs up Muscle & Strength👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  5. I think we hurt the feelings of oats by making fun of bodybuilding breakfast because they don't appear so much on the channel anymore. Oats, we're sorry. 🤣

  6. Eats tiny breakfast but is jacked🤔what does he compete in if hes a pro,(obviously on gear)and quite right natrual bodybuilding is stupid

  7. Sensible eating. My everyday breakfast is 3 soft boiled eggs, and, some red and sweet potatoes, cut up into chunks and microwaved for 7 – 8 minutes. Great protein, the best carbs, and fiber. I steer clear of any processed breads, wheat, rye, or even rice. Lee Haney also used to prefer potatoes. All natural.

  8. Great guy with great tips, especially in the grocery shop video. Lots of good info. But whoever uses a fork to spread butter is dead to me.
Jk but please use a knife

  9. I eat 2 slices of wheat bread, 4 eggs, and a protein shake with peanut butter, 1 scoop of chocolate protein, 1/2 banana, silk milk, handful of oatmeal, and ice.

  10. I've been eating for about the past 2 years exactly this breakfast… He is right it digest well and does give you the proper amount of energy pre workout..

  11. Remind me to never say yes when a bodybuilder says he will cook me breakfast. Looks like a 14 year old made that breakfast. At his age, he should have more finesse. Especially considering how important food is to him. Come onnnnnnn guy.

  12. Hello Muscle & Strength,

I've only got a little amount of time to live.

I'd appreciate if you could do more pro bodybuilder calorie challenges whilst I'm still alive 🙂

    Many thanks!

  13. This guy is so likable…. he is bare bone basic and not all for show. That genuine attitude is hard to find.

  14. I eat almost the same breakfast every day but I think mine is a little better. Macros (roughly) 50g protein 50g ch 13g fat.
2 eggs. 50g of oat meal with 1 scoop of whey protein + a banana.

  15. Even after watching hundreds of breakfast / PWO vids..i still learnt something from this legend. The way he explains…mind blowing. And good to know that i am not the only person who thinks this Yoda is very likeable and pleasant to hear these gems of wisdom from. Very nice. Thank you !!

  16. The best in the business! So much knowledge John has. His channel is a enciclopedia of Fitness, nutrition and workout Principles.

  17. Are those Marco measurements correct though?
37F, 104C, 35P for almost 900 calories? That almost seems 50% higher than it should.

  18. I like the quality of his groceries. Not a lot of trash. Organic, plant based “sugar”, quality eggs, pink Himalayan salt. Like quality 👌🏾

  19. What kind of animal used the heal before all the center parts are used!? And spreads butter with a fork! Barbarian!

  20. Oh man this was painful to watch. I think that bread came out less toasted than when it started and who flips their eggs with a spatula? Come on

  21. Buys quality food, uses a microwave to radiation blast the food. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
